On The Heroine's Journey

Sister,  In case you missed the memo, you are the heroine of your own story.

Bold as Katniss, you have already volunteered as tribute for every girl and woman you know, and for every girl and woman who will come to know you, simply because you exist.

Brave as Moana, the infinite ocean of life has chosen you and dared you to venture far beyond your island of safety to discover the truth about who you are and what kind of heroine you are meant to become.

It is no accident that you were born into the exact time, space, and set of circumstances that raised you into the woman you are today.

Allow yourself to marvel at all of the lessons and blessings that have delivered your badass, battle-trained self into the here and now!

 WOW.

What has been your deepest wound, dear one?

Go there.

And dwell inside of your enormous capacity for resilience and strength.

 Go on, drink it in!

So many times, the world you knew was shattered, burying you in piles of ashes and rubble and questions.

So many times you have risen!

What dreams have been calling for you?

See them and know that they belong to you.

For your pain and your passion have positioned you perfectly to manifest the unique and divine purpose that is yours.

There is no one better suited for this particular journey than you.

 I REPEAT.

THERE IS NO ONE BETTER SUITED FOR THIS PARTICULAR JOURNEY THAN YOU!

Inside of this world that may never stop trying to deceive you into a false perception of powerlessness, you are invited to step up and in to your own power.

What weapon will you wield in the face of this delusion that you are not enough?

‘Cus this planet has a nasty habit of feeding heaping spoonfuls of “not strong enough”, “not pretty enough”, “not smart enough”, and “not good enough” to sleeping heroines until they never get the chance to wake up.

SO WAKE UP, AND WISE UP, WILD WOMAN!

You come from a bloodline of survivors and stardust.

And I don’t know what your great great great great grandmother had to do to make sure that you’d make it here someday, but I do know that sometimes it hurt.

So rise, heroine! Rise! Rise to the occasion of your life. Whether it feels like you’re dancing, drowning, or digging your way out, just remember-

 You were made for this.
